Hon. Philip Atta Basoah is dead. The honorable member was a Ghanaian politician who served as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kumawu in the Ashanti Region.
He served on the parliamentary committee for Gender, Children, and Social Protection. Hon. Basoah was known for his advocacy for education and infrastructure development in his constituency.
It was reported that Hon. Basoah had fallen into a coma and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away in the middle of plans to fly him overseas for further medical attention. He died at 53.
