Despite the opportunity to join Everton in the Premier League, Kamaldeen Sulemana opted to join Southampton instead.
He had bids accepted by both clubs, but chose the South Coast club over Everton due to a better offer from French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.
Southampton will pay €25m for Kamaldeen Sulemana.

The 20-year-old speedster will join on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a reported fee of around €25m plus €5m add-ons.
A medical has been scheduled for Southampton ahead of the closing of the January transfer window later today.
In order to close the deal quickly, Southampton expects the medical to take place in France.
A transfer from Nordsjaelland to Rennes in 2021 resulted in the 20-year-old not getting regular game time. In 33 games, he scored five goals.
