Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, an aspirant vying for the position of flagbearer in the New Patriotic Party, has made it clear he will remain in the presidential primaries until the end. The outspoken lawmaker emphasized he needs to clarify that with any other aspirant and is determined to see the contest through to its conclusion. He expressed these sentiments upon receiving his nomination forms at his Kencity Office. The forms were presented to him by his campaign manager, Mr. Kwame Owusu, who was accompanied by several prominent campaign team members. During the brief ceremony, Mr. Agyapong thanked the team for adhering to his wishes. He believed that picking up the nomination forms should end any speculations regarding his intentions, asserting that he was neither contesting on behalf of someone else nor working for any other candidate.

In a recent interview, Kennedy Agyapong highlighted his strong track record as an employer and a businessman, positioning himself as a frontrunner among the candidates. While on a campaign tour in Asawase, the unconventional politician criticized his rivals in the Ashanti Region, claiming they heavily rely on the government. Mr. Agyapong stated, ” I believe this should clarify to everyone that I am not working for any individual. I am fully committed until the very end.

Despite his influence, Mr. Agyapong expressed frustration at not providing jobs for the country’s youth. He highlighted his contributions by employing over seven thousand Ghanaians, in stark contrast to his competitors, who depend solely on the government for support. He shared an anecdote about a young man with a Master’s Degree in Finance who had been unemployed.

Refuting claims he was for eight years while his children had finished their education and were now being approached by companies to negotiate salaries.

Refuting claims he was unsuitable for the presidency, Kennedy Agyapong emphasized his dedication and achievements within the NPP. He argued that a true presidential candidate creates employment opportunities for countless young people rather than someone who dresses impeccably and speaks fluent English.
