Labadi Beach Hotel Appoints David Eduaful as is New CEO

Mr. David Eduaful has been appointed as the Managing Director of Labadi Beach Hotel, Ghana’s premier five-star hotel.

With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, David Eduaful is a highly accomplished professional. He is the first Ghanaian Managing Director of a five-star hotel in the country, having previously served in various capacities within the hotel.

David has demonstrated his expertise and knowledge by effectively fulfilling the hotel’s strategic and operational roles. His extensive experience gained, both locally and internationally, has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the sector.

David’s educational background includes an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Ghana Business School and a degree in Marketing from the Central University in Ghana.

The hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers, situated amidst beautiful tropical landscaped gardens next to one of Ghana’s most popular beaches in the central business district.

Labadi Beach Hotel, which started with 104 rooms in 1991, now boasts 164 rooms, including 2 Presidential Suites, 4 Executive Suites, and 4 Superior Suites. It also features 5 bars, 2 restaurants, a 900-seater multi-purpose conference, banqueting facilities, a spa with a plunge pool, a well-equipped gym, a lagoon for fishing, and 2 luxurious leisure and lap pools. This is set in a sprawling tropical garden that overlooks the natural Maale Lagoon.

Over the years, the hotel has hosted esteemed clientele, including the British Monarchy, Heads of State, Prime Ministers, and other notable personalities who consider it their preferred destination for business and leisure activities.

Mr. David Eduaful spoke to the press and emphasized that the success story of this indigenous brand can be attributed to its innovative approach, the highest standards of operation, and dedicated and passionate staff who consistently go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.

Labadi Beach Hotel has solidified its position as a leader in the hospitality industry by winning numerous awards, including the prestigious CIMG Hospitality Facility of the Year in 2018, 2019, and 2021, as well as Best Maintained Facility in 2019, Best Events Hotel Venue in 2019 and 2020, Best 5-star Hotel of the Year in 2020 and 2021, Most Secure Hotel of the Year in 2021, Most Digitalized Hotel of the Year in 2021 (organized by the Ghana Hotels Association), and Hospitality Company of the Year in 2022 (awarded by Ghana Business Awards).

In March 2023, the hotel distributed a GHc10 million dividend to SSNIT, its sole shareholder.
