A lecturer from Bolgatanga Technical University, Alhassan Azumah, has been fatally shot in the latest escalation of the Bawku conflict. Azumah, originally from Zemasa in the Bawku Municipality but residing in Bolgatanga, was attacked multiple times at his residence in Sokabisi, a suburb of Bolgatanga.
Following news of his death, a loud and intense gun battle resonated throughout the night in Bawku. Despite repeated threats against the lecturer, as reported by family members speaking to Metro News, no significant attention was given to the warnings. The deceased’s body has now been placed in the Bolgatanga regional mortuary.
