On the occasion of Labor Day, which is being observed by workers worldwide on May 1st, former President John Dramani Mahama has extended his greetings to Ghanaians. The theme of this day in Ghana is “Protecting Incomes and Pensions in an era of economic crises: our responsibility.”

Mr. Mahama has expressed his appreciation for the hard work of all workers and their contribution to keeping the country’s economy afloat during difficult times. However, he has criticized the current administration for not doing enough to address unemployment and improve the lives of young people in the country.

Despite these challenges, Mr. Mahama has urged workers to remain hopeful for a better future, providing opportunities for all citizens to thrive. He has also emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of retirees and vulnerable members of society, reviving collapsed businesses and banks, and creating real jobs.

In conclusion, Mr. Mahama has commended Ghanaian workers for their dedication and resilience, stating that they are the country’s backbone and embody the Black Star of hope and honor celebrated in the national anthem. He has encouraged them to continue to work towards building a better Ghana for all.
