On Friday, April 28, 2023, the renowned Afro-dancehall musician, Stonebwoy, hosted a party at the Polo Beach Club in Accra to celebrate the release of his latest album, ‘5th Dimension.’ Notable personalities; such as Bulldog, D-Black, Ignace Huga, George Britton, Mr. Freddie Blay, KOD, Berla Mundi and attended the event. Other guests included Asafa Powell, the former world’s fastest man, and Stonebwoy’s wife, Dr. Louisa.
During the 2-hour performance, Stonebwoy treated the guests to songs from his album, starting with ‘Manodzi,’ track 17, which features the Grammy award-winning African musician Angelique Kidjo. The album comprises 17 songs and features collaborations with top African artists such as Davido, Oxlade, and Tiwa Savage from Nigeria, Beninese legend Angelique Kidjo, and South African amapiano progenitor DJ Maphorisa. The album features international artists such as Shaggy, Dexta Daps (Jamaica), Mereba (US), and Jaz Karis (UK).
Stonebwoy’s journey in the music industry has been remarkable, from recording his first track in a family studio over a decade ago to becoming a BET award-winner. The 5th Dimension album was recorded during exclusive sessions across Europe, America, and Africa, showcasing the artist’s unique style and direction.
Stonebwoy took a break at the party to share his journey into stardom and the inspiration behind the album, captivating the guests with his wisdom. He also performed with fellow dancehall artist, Epixode. Overall, it was a star-studded event celebrating the talents and achievements of one of Ghana’s most iconic musicians.
