Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta will present the Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, July 27, 2023, as mandated by Section (28) of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (PFMA) Act 921. The announcement was made by Majority Leader of Parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu during today’s parliamentary session.

Industry players have raised concerns regarding specific tax measures in the mid-year budget review, urging the government to withdraw them to ease the burden on companies. These measures were passed by Parliament as part of Ghana’s $3 billion bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), with the government asserting they aim to enhance revenue mobilization for the country.
