
The Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, has called on Ghanaians to draw inspiration from the message of Easter to promote national development and transformation.
Speaking at the Church of Pentecost, Sakumono Area Easter Convention on April 4, 2026, he emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus Christ represents renewal, hope, and a transformed mindset that citizens can apply to everyday life.
The Minister noted that Ghana’s progress depends on a collective national effort, urging citizens to reflect Easter values in both their public and private lives to help drive meaningful change across the country.
He also highlighted the importance of civic responsibility during the festive period, encouraging the public to maintain clean surroundings and actively support national sanitation and environmental management initiatives.
Touching on public health and safety, Ibrahim advised Ghanaians to observe proper food hygiene practices to avoid health risks during the celebrations.
In addition, he stressed the need for unity and tolerance, calling for peaceful coexistence among people of different religious and cultural backgrounds. He encouraged respect for diversity as a means of strengthening national cohesion.
The Minister further underscored the importance of servant leadership, expressing optimism about Ghana’s global potential if both citizens and leaders prioritize the national interest above all else.
The event concluded with prayers offered for the President, government officials, and continued peace and stability in the country.
