Ghanaian singer Kelvyn Boy has voiced his criticism of Deputy Minister for Creative Arts, Mark Okraku-Mantey, for his noticeable silence since assuming office. In a tweet, the singer questioned why Mr. Okraku-Mantey, who was previously outspoken on matters concerning the creative arts industry, had become less visible since becoming a Deputy Minister.

A fan attempted to defend the Minister by suggesting that as a Deputy Minister, he might be limited in taking actions without the approval of his superiors. However, Kelvyn Boy dismissed this argument, asserting that Deputy Ministers play a substantial role.

Mr. Okraku-Mantey has been serving as Deputy to Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal since 2021. Prior to this, he held the position of President of the Creative Arts Council from 2017 to 2021. His background includes work as a disk jockey (DJ), radio and TV executive, record producer, and he is also the founder and CEO of Slip Mark Entertainment. Notably, he has engaged in disputes with various creative arts personalities in the past regarding industry-related matters.
