Parliamentary service to get Salaries after Christmas holidays

Daniel T. Chirawura, the Director of Finance of Parliament, has indicated that the December salaries for parliamentary service officers may not be disbursed before the Christmas holidays.

In a statement released on Wednesday, December 20, Mr. Chirawura clarified that the service is yet to receive the “Notification of Transfer of Salaries for December 2023.” However, he highlighted that the service has secured the necessary funding to provide officers with additional financial support over the Christmas break.

“The support will be made available to officers before the House rises on 22 December 2023. The service is grateful to officers for their patience and understanding.”
