The Ashanti Regional Police Command is actively pursuing the perpetrator responsible for the murder of a 26-year-old woman in Adum, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region. The victim, Maame Adwoa, was allegedly shot multiple times on Thursday night by her boyfriend, Tony or Tagor.

According to an eyewitness, there was a heated argument between the couple shortly before the tragic incident, with the alleged boyfriend accusing the deceased of infidelity. The eyewitness stated they initially thought the perpetrator was an armed robber but then overheard Maame Adwoa pleading with Tony not to kill her, denying the accusation of cheating. Despite her pleas, the assailant shot her six times, leaving five empty shells at the scene, with one more shell later recovered by the police.

The victim’s brother revealed he had tried to prevent his sister from meeting her boyfriend that night, but his efforts were unsuccessful. At the turn of events, he expressed bewilderment, stating that his sister had disregarded his advice.

Currently, the police are gathering pertinent information as they pursue Tagor, who is now on the run, to bring him to justice for this heinous crime.
