Fuel prices are projected to decrease in the upcoming pricing window, starting Monday, September 16, 2024, according to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC).
Amid fluctuations in global petroleum prices, consumers can expect an average price reduction of about 4% on diesel, petrol, and LPG, COPEC indicated.
“Unless there are any significant unexpected changes in global petroleum Free on Board (FOB) prices, the downstream petroleum market is expected to reflect lower pump prices for petrol, diesel, and LPG, benefiting consumers in the next pricing window starting on September 16, 2024,” stated Duncan Amoah, COPEC’s Executive Secretary.
Diesel prices are expected to drop to GH¢13.642 per litre, while LPG could fall to GH¢15.345 per kilogram.
