Real Tamale United has criticized the GHC 100,000 fine imposed on them by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee for fielding unqualified players in a match against Dreams FC, calling it excessive.

Mohammed Kayaba, the club’s Public Relations Officer, expressed concern over the fine, citing the club’s ongoing financial struggles.

“The amount is too high for us. We are already facing financial difficulties,” he said in an interview with Nana Kwaku Mensah on Original FM’s Super Sports Show on Wednesday.

Kayaba pointed out that the club had pleaded guilty to the charges and had hoped for a more lenient penalty, considering their financial challenges.

The fine presents a significant financial burden that could worsen the club’s financial situation.
