Save Ghana Movement Slams Parliament Over Failed Leadership and Calls for Reform

The Save Ghana Movement has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the current Members of Parliament, accusing them of betraying the trust placed in them by the Ghanaian people.

Speaking in an interview with Fabea FM, the movement’s founder, Robert Andzie Ansah, delivered a scathing critique of Parliament’s performance, accusing MPs of prioritizing party loyalty and personal gain over national development. He described their actions as “petty politics” that ignore the pressing needs of citizens.

Our representatives were elected to serve the people, not to rubber-stamp decisions or play partisan games,” Ansah stated. “Unfortunately, what we see is blind allegiance to party agendas with little accountability for outcomes.”

He argued that this behavior has fueled public disillusionment with Parliament, transforming it into a battleground for political survival rather than a platform for public service.

In a bold and provocative move, the Save Ghana Movement is calling for the dissolution and complete restructuring of Parliament. Ansah believes only a fresh start can restore credibility and reorient the legislative body toward its true purpose.

We need to rebuild an institution that genuinely works for the people. Our leaders must prioritize Ghana over their political ambitions,” he emphasized.

Ansah also criticized opposition parties, warning them against using their minority status as a shield for underperformance in their constituencies.

We have youthful and energetic MPs capable of delivering real change. There’s no justification for failure,” he said, urging lawmakers to rise above partisan games.

He concluded by calling on Ghanaians to reject divisive political rhetoric and unite behind the shared goal of national development.
