Spanish Ambassador to Ghana visits the FOC of western Naval Command

His Excellency Javier Gutierrez, the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, paid a courtesy visit to the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) of the Western Naval Command (WNC), Commodore Emmanuel Ayesu Kwafo, on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

 

The purpose of the visit was to formally inform the FOC about the presence of the Spanish Navy Ship Furor at the Sekondi Naval Base.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception and stated that the visit would enhance the mutual relationship between Spain and Ghana.

 

He emphasized the importance of maritime security and cooperation between the two countries and expressed eagerness to collaborate with the Ghana Navy in this area.

Commodore Kwafo affirmed the readiness of the Ghana Navy to cooperate and benefit from the expertise of the Spanish Navy in maritime security.

 

He extended well wishes to the Ambassador and his delegation for their stay within the Command and assured them of his support whenever needed.

Accompanying the Ambassador were Deputy Ambassador Diego Spottorno, Ship Captain Jaime Marquez, Operation Officer Carlos Martinez, and Marine Captain Jose Antonio Ruiz.
