There have been scores of deaths and injuries caused by the protracted chieftaincy dispute in Bawku.
Recent disturbances have resulted in the deaths of about 10 people.
Admissions have since been rejected by students posted to the area.
In an interview with Citi News, Kofi Ayamga Anamboyine, Upper East Regional Coordinator for the Free Senior High School Programme, said that students would be counselled before accepting admission.
Other Ghanaians and Islamic scholars have called on the indigenes to put down their weapons.
