Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Communications Minister and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, has lost her parliamentary seat to Rev. Kweku Addo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, in the recent general elections.
Rev. Addo garnered 31,866 votes, defeating Madam Owusu-Ekuful, who received 26,575 votes.
Born and raised in Dansoman, Rev. Addo brings a diverse background of experience, having pursued higher education in Europe and the United States. Upon returning to Ghana, he took over the management of his mother’s school, eventually rising to the position of director.
An accomplished entrepreneur, real estate broker, and clergyman, Rev. Addo is widely respected for his humility, peaceful demeanor, and compassion.
His campaign emphasized community development, with a focus on addressing critical issues such as job creation, market infrastructure, education, and the overall improvement of local amenities.
