Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has unveiled his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Morayo.
The album, named after the Yoruba word meaning “I see Joy,” is a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in 2023. Released under Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records, Morayo showcases Wizkid’s evolution as an artist, blending his signature sound with fresh elements.
Spanning 16 electrifying tracks, the album highlights Wizkid’s versatility and musical prowess. Collaborations with renowned artists such as Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, and Tiakola add depth and diversity to the project. Notable tracks include Karamo, Troubled Mind, Soji, Bad Girl, and Kese, among others.
Wizkid described Morayo as his most personal and best work yet, urging fans to stream the album on all major platforms. Since its release, Morayo has achieved remarkable success, climbing to the number one spot in 10 countries and charting in over 50 countries on Apple Music.
Arriving three years after his previous album, More Love, Less Ego, which peaked at number two on the World Albums chart, Morayo continues to cement Wizkid’s legacy as a global music icon.
