Ambulance trial : AG Considering day-to-hearing

Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, the Deputy Attorney General, is advocating for the current ambulance trial to be heard on a daily basis.

This request follows recent allegations of misconduct against Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame, which led Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the principal defendant, to call on the Chief Justice to broadcast the remaining hearings on television.

Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah stated that while his office has no issue with the proposal for a live broadcast, it may also be necessary to add daily hearings to expedite the trial.

“The Attorney General has indicated in other forums that for matters of significant public interest, it is beneficial for justice to have such proceedings broadcast live on television and radio. We have no objection to the request, but ultimately, the Chief Justice will make the final decision.

“Beyond the broadcast, we are also advocating for day-to-day hearings to ensure we conclude this matter as quickly as possible. If feasible, the broadcast should be accompanied by daily hearings to expedite the process.”
