The Ghana Police Service has arrested three individuals and declared others wanted in connection with violent disturbances that injured one person in Apam, Central Region, on September 16, 2024.
The arrested suspects, identified as Alhaji Kassim Mohammed, Stephen Cobbinah (alias Bonjour), and Joseph Mensah (alias Kofi Kokor), allegedly disrupted the commissioning ceremony of equipment for the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP), leading to the violence.
Police reports indicate that the suspects were armed with offensive weapons during the incident. The three are currently in custody and will be arraigned in court.
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects, with the police assuring the public that they are committed to ensuring all those involved are brought to justice.
