Cobb County Police Department Sgt. Wayne Delk reported Deion Patterson, the suspected shooter in the deadly Midtown Atlanta medical facility shooting, was seen in Cobb County around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The shooting occurred at 12:08 p.m. on the same day.
Delk clarified that there were no eyewitness accounts of Patterson’s presence in Cobb County, and no additional sightings were captured on camera as police continued to search the area. However, officials were only informed about Patterson’s whereabouts around 2:30 p.m., prompting them to review the license plate camera footage. The footage, taken near Windy Ridge Parkway and Heritage Court near Truist Park, showed Patterson.
The Atlanta Police Department found the carjacked vehicle in a parking garage near the baseball stadium. Truist Park, where the Atlanta Braves professional baseball team plays, is situated 11 miles away from the Midtown Atlanta shooting location.
