During his campaign in the Ashanti Region to secure the position of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer in the upcoming 2024 general elections, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia delighted the crowd with his dancing skills.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has often showcased his dancing abilities to the public, and a recent video circulating on social media captures him exhibiting his smooth moves at a local event while Prince Nyarko’s song, ‘Yesu ni Wadanfu pa,’ played in the background.

Dressed in all white and surrounded by people adorned in similar attire, Vice President Bawumia joyfully showcased his dancing skills, earning cheers and applause from the onlookers.

Among those seen in the video is Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore.

As part of his campaign in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia addressed delegates in the Adansi Asokwa constituency, emphasizing the significant sacrifices he has made for the party over the years. He highlighted how his political career was at stake when he testified for the party during the 2012 general election petition at the Supreme Court.

“While many of our members made excuses and avoided putting their political careers on the line, I stood firm and sacrificed for the party. I knew the implications but delivered in court,” Dr. Bawumia stated.

He further added, “The excuses were abundant; some claimed they were traveling or had other reasons. But I firmly held my ground because I believe I am the best person to lead the party.”

Dr. Bawumia is one of the ten candidates competing for the NPP’s flagbearer position for the 2024 elections, having successfully undergone the vetting process this week.
