The Electoral Commission (EC) has raised concerns about the low turnout for the voter exhibition exercise in the Bono Region.
Checks revealed a low turnout the first day, with some polling stations reporting no visitors at all, while others saw only one or two participants. The highest turnout recorded was just 10 participants by 1 pm on the first day.
EC officials attributed the low turnout to a lack of adequate information, while Asapana, the PNC Bono Chairman, pointed to the availability of online name-checking as a contributing factor.
“The low turnout is concerning, and we encourage citizens to take advantage of this exercise to verify their information,” Asapana urged.
The voter exhibition exercise is a critical opportunity for citizens to correct any errors and confirm their eligibility to vote in the upcoming December 7th elections.
