BOST wins the ‘Petroleum Company of the Year’

The Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Company Limited, formerly BOST, achieved significant recognition at the seventh edition of the Ghana Energy Awards, receiving two prestigious awards. The event, held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on November 17, 2023, honored the company as the ‘Petroleum Company of the Year,’ while its CEO, Mr. Edwin Alfred Provencal, was named the ‘Energy Personality of the Year.’

 

President Akufo-Addo, the guest of honor at the event, commended the awardees for their outstanding contributions to advancing the energy sector, a crucial driver of economic progress.

Speaking to the media during the event, Mr. Provencal credited the board and management team for their remarkable efforts in transforming the company. He expressed confidence in the continued success of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and emphasized that BOST’s performance in recent years exemplifies their potential for profitability.

 

In addition to the Ghana Energy Awards, the company received the SSI Sustainability and Operational Excellence Award at the Sustainability and Social Investments Awards, held at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel on the same day, November 17, 2023.

These accolades reflect the ongoing recognition of the company’s impressive turnaround under the leadership of Edwin Alfred Provencal, both on the domestic and international fronts.
