David Adeleke (Davido), has admitted his Adedeji Adeleke, incentivized him to return to university during his youth. During an interview, the singer disclosed he initially dropped out of school and left home to pursue his music career. However, his father eventually persuaded him to complete his education by offering him an enticing proposal.
According to Davido, his father proposed that if he attended school from Mondays to Fridays, he would build a state-of-the-art music studio for him and provide him with funds to shoot music videos on weekends, while working in the studio.
“My dad is passionate about education. When I initially ran away from home and went to London, I returned to Nigeria and my dad insisted I go to school. So I asked him, ‘What’s in it for me?’ That was when his dad made him the promise and built a top-notch studio for him,” Davido revealed.
