Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has made the decision to temporarily suspend his ongoing campaign tour, effective from Saturday, September 23, 2023. During this hiatus, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will redirect his efforts towards visiting specific E.C. Registration centers. His primary objective is to encourage all loyal party members to concentrate their efforts on mobilizing eligible individuals to register for their voter’s ID cards.
According to a statement issued by his spokesperson, Gideon Boako, the Vice President is calling upon all party members to take heed of this directive and put in concerted efforts to meet the voter registration targets set for each constituency.
In the midst of this, political parties and their supporters are diligently working to ensure maximum turnout of eligible voters who support their respective causes throughout the voter registration process.
This limited voter registration initiative commenced on Tuesday, September 12 and is scheduled to conclude on Monday, October 2, 2023. It caters to individuals who have reached the age of 18 or above since the last registration exercise, as well as those who were unable to register in 2020.
