Ghanaian highlife artiste Bisa Kdei has shared his views on leadership, accountability, and governance in Ghana during an appearance on Joy Prime TV.

The musician disclosed that he was unable to participate in the most recent general elections due to illness, despite his strong desire for political change. He noted that although he could not vote, he welcomed the outcome and the shift it represented.

Addressing issues of governance, Bisa Kdei emphasised the importance of hard work and accountability in leadership. He stated that while leaders should be commended for good performance, they must also be held accountable when they fall short, stressing that public resources must be managed in the interest of citizens.

He also commented on the administration of John Dramani Mahama, suggesting that the pace of governance appears accelerated. In his view, while progress is important, the speed of implementation should be carefully managed.

In addition, the artiste observed that Ghanaians often have a short memory when it comes to recognising progress, drawing a parallel with trends in the music industry where achievements are quickly forgotten.
