The hearing of the case involving Cruise People Limited and Ghanaian artiste Mohammed Ismail Sherif, also known as Black Sherif, has been postponed to November 16, 2023.

According to Joy FM’s entertainment journalist, Kwame Dadzie, during their appearance at the Adenta High Court today, Judge Her Ladyship Mariama Sammo ruled that, instead of conducting oral arguments, the lawyers for both the Plaintiff and Defendant should prepare their legal arguments and submit them by November 2, 2023.

Black Sherif, the Defendant, had submitted a motion contending that Ghana, and by extension, the Adenta High Court, lacked jurisdiction to adjudicate the case. He argued that the contract for his performance stipulated that any legal proceedings should be held in the United Kingdom.

Cruise People Limited, represented by their legal team, countered this motion with an affidavit in opposition. They argued that the Adenta High Court does have jurisdiction to hear and decide the case, as both parties are Ghanaian and conduct their professional activities within Ghana.
