Comedian Kojo PJay is eagerly preparing for his debut event, “Outside the Box,” which is scheduled to take place at Snap Cinemas in the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) tomorrow, May 13th.
Starting at 6:30 pm, the event promises a fantastic lineup of performers, including renowned comedians OB Amponsah, Lekzy De Comic, Jeneral Ntatia, ID James Brown, Dwomoh, Ranzy, Jerry, Oh Joo, and AloWess.
This platform will also provide aspiring humorists like Kwame OB, Gabby Mens, Unknown, and others, with an opportunity to showcase their talents.
During a conversation with Graphic Showbiz regarding the upcoming event, Kojo PJay expressed his excitement at headlining a show after years of learning and studying from experienced comedians in the industry. Despite being underestimated by some because of his calm demeanor, he consistently receives high praise and admiration after each performance.
Kojo PJay revealed that his composed nature on stage contrasts with his delivery, which has inspired him to name his first comedy show, “Outside the Box.” He shared, “Throughout the years, comedy enthusiasts have found my style and content thought-provoking yet hilarious, causing them to laugh whenever I perform funny political anecdotes.” While acknowledging the Ghanaian audience’s particular interest in political jokes, he assured patrons he had honed his skills in this area. He promised many such marks, alongside others, to keep them entertained.
Besides his comedy pursuits, Kojo PJay is a writer and cast member of The Half Serious Show on GhOne TV, alongside OB, Lekzy, Oh Joo, Jerry, Papayaw, and Teekay. He draws significant inspiration from South African comedian Trevor Noah.
