The Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Suame, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, is in mourning following the passing of the former Member of Parliament for Bantama, Daniel Okyem Aboagye. Okyem Aboagye succumbed to a brief illness and passed away on Saturday, September 23, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
In an official statement, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu eulogized Okyem Aboagye as an “impeccable patriot” and someone who brought joy through their acquaintance and collaboration. He commended Okyem Aboagye’s exceptional debating skills and his valuable contributions to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu conveyed his wish, saying, “Daniel, may your departed soul continue to watch over us and fortify us in our sacred mission to maintain authority for the purpose of rejuvenating and repositioning Ghana.”
Okyem Aboagye held the position of Member of Parliament for Bantama from 2017 to 2021.
