La General Hospital’s O.P.D to the operational by the end of 2024.

Solomon Kotey Nikoi, the Municipal Chief Executive of the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly, has expressed optimism regarding the imminent opening of the La General Hospital’s Outpatient Department (O.P.D) to the public by the end of 2024.

 

Assuring the public, the MCE emphasized the government’s commitment to expeditiously disbursing funds to contractors to facilitate the progress and timely completion of the project.

During his recent State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, President Akufo-Addo revealed the government’s successful acquisition of alternative funding for the reconstruction of the La General Hospital project.

 

In an interview on citi news, Solomon Kotey Nikoi underscored the importance of swiftly completing the project to provide residents of La with access to high-quality healthcare services. He stated, “We are very pleased to announce that construction of the La General Hospital has commenced. We have conducted several site visits, and the pace at which construction is progressing is commendable. According to their schedule, the OPD will be operational by the end of this year.”

He added, “While I cannot make firm commitments at this time, I can confidently say that by the end of the year, the OPD will be fully operational.”
