A tragic incident occurred as a young man, purportedly the boyfriend of a District Police Commander, was found dead in her residence. The discovery was made in the official police residence located in Kpetoe, Volta Region, on October 26, 2023.
The girlfriend, whose identity remains undisclosed, holds the rank of Superintendent of Police and serves as the Kpetoe District Police Commander. Reportedly, she was not present at the residence when the incident took place.
The deceased, who was identified as Billy Bless and believed to be in his mid-40s, was described as the fiance of the Superintendent of Police. He was a former employee of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and happened to be the son of the late Paramount Chief of Gbi, Togbega Gabusu VI.
Following the discovery, the body of Billy Bless was promptly transported to the morgue at the Ho Teaching Hospital (HTH) to undergo preservation and an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
