Five bids have been submitted to the Ministry of Works and Housing by an impartial third party tasked with selecting a bidder to complete the over 1,500 unfinished apartments of the Saglemi Housing project.

Sector Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah announced that the Public Procurement Authority will assist the ministry in choosing an independent evaluation body on Wednesday. This body will assess the five bids and provide a report as part of the government’s transparent process to find a partner for the Saglemi Housing project.

Following the bid submissions, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah informed the media that the preferred bidder would be chosen to complete the project. He also mentioned that the selected accounting firm will deliver the evaluation report within seven days.

“We have received five bids. From today, we have already requested the Public Procurement Authority to help us select an independent evaluation entity. And I understand that about four organizations have been pre-qualified by the Public Procurement Authority, out of which we will select one.

“On Wednesday, as I mentioned, we will select the independent evaluation entity and we will hand over these bids to the independent evaluation entity. According to our work programme, within seven days, we expect to receive the report from the independent evaluation entity, which will indicate the preferred bidder among the five.”
