Nana Ato Arthur honored by the City of Miami Gardens

Every year on February 27, the City of Miami Gardens in Florida, USA celebrates Dr. Nana Ato Arthur Day in recognition of his outstanding 30-year career in public service and significant contributions to elevate public service in Ghana. The Mayor of Miami Gardens, Rodney Harris, issued a proclamation to honor Nana Ato Arthur, citing his numerous past and current positions in public service as a source of inspiration for the recognition.

On February 27, 2023, a ceremony was held in the City of Miami Gardens where Mr. Harris, representing the City Council, presented Nana Ato Arthur with a plaque and citation. The citation recognized Nana Ato Arthur’s inspiring achievements in selfless service and boldly moving forward, and proclaimed February 27, 2023, as Honorable Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur Day in the City of Miami Gardens. The proclamation was signed by Mayor Rodney Harris and his colleagues on the City Council, including Vice Mayor Katrina Wilson, Shannan Ighadara, Linda Julien, and Robert Stephens111.

In response, Nana Ato Arthur expressed his gratitude to the Council of the City of Miami Gardens for the recognition. He proposed establishing a Sister-City partnership between the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) Municipality and Miami Gardens and emphasized the importance of Small Business Partnership between Ghana and Miami. Furthermore, he urged Miami to consider investing in Ghana and supporting the development of the Local Government Service staff.
