New York paparazzi chase ends in a near-catastrophe for Harry and Meghan

According to a spokesperson for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and her mother, they were involved in a “near catastrophic car chase” with paparazzi. The incident occurred following the couple’s attendance at an awards ceremony in New York on Tuesday. The spokesperson stated the pursuit lasted for more than two hours, resulting in dangerous situations such as almost colliding with other vehicles, pedestrians, and even police officers.

The spokesperson emphasized that while public figures attract public interest, they should jeopardize no one’s safety. They complained about the dissemination of these images and got through intrusive practices that posed a threat to all involved. The New York Police Department (NYPD) did not immediately confirm their knowledge of the incident.

This incident took place after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first public appearance together since the King’s Coronation earlier in the month. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, accompanied them at the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards.
