Okatakiye Africa-Mensah, a radio presenter at Angel FM in Accra, has received a summons from the Head of the Nungua Traditional Area, requiring his presence before the elders.
The summons comes in response to alleged disparaging remarks made by Mr. Afrifa-Mensah against Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, the Overlord of the Gadangme State, and King Odaifio Welentsi III, the Paramount Chief of the Nungua Traditional Area, during a radio broadcast on Angel FM.
According to a statement from the Traditional Council, the elders have instructed Mr. Afrifa-Mensah to appear at the palace to address the false and disrespectful statements he made.
The meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse’s Palace, also known as the Nungua Gborbu Koo Naa.
The elders have emphasized the seriousness of the matter and urged Mr. Afrifa-Mensah to approach the summons with utmost respect, acknowledging that the outcome of the meeting could have significant consequences for both parties.
The letter of invitation underscored the importance of treating the matter with the respect it deserves.
