The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced the completion of its investigation into alleged corruption and related offenses involving Charles Adu Boahen, a former Minister of State at the Finance Ministry.

The OSP’s findings revealed that while Mr. Adu Boahen engaged in influence peddling, it does not constitute a corruption-related offense falling directly within the scope of its mandate. The OSP emphasized that the allegations against the government official can be addressed by other government agencies.

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng also noted that the investigation may be reopened if new circumstances or additional facts emerge.

The OSP expressed appreciation for the President’s referral of the case and Tiger Eye P.I., led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, for conducting a sting operation related to suspected corruption and corruption-related offenses involving Mr. Adu Boahen and for filing a complaint with the OSP.
