The Minority in Parliament is urging President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to halt the contentious $34.9 million ambulance spare parts contract.
They are also requesting that the President direct the Chief of Staff to stop pressuring the Health and Finance Ministers to make payments to Service Ghana Auto Group Limited.
At a press conference, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Chairman of the Assurance Committee and North Tongu MP, called on the Special Prosecutor to expedite their petition regarding the scandal.
The Minority claims that the contract, awarded to Service Ghana Auto Group Limited, is inflated and lacks transparency.
Their petition to the Special Prosecutor seeks a thorough investigation into the contract’s procurement process and payment procedures.
