In a startling turn of events, a gang of five suspected robbers carried out a brazen attack on a block factory in Appolonia City, a suburb of Oyibi in Accra, on the evening of October 14, 2023. Tragically, this audacious assault resulted in the loss of one life, and the perpetrators managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed sum of money and several mobile phones belonging to the victims.
The deceased’s body has been transported to the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and subsequent autopsy.
The Ghana Police Service, in a tweet, announced that they have initiated an investigation and intelligence operation to swiftly locate and apprehend the culprits. The Police assured the public in a series of tweets that they are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating, “We wish to assure the public that we will surely get them.”
This incident has left the Oyibi community in shock and has raised concerns about the safety of residents in the area.
