
The Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football, Veron Mosengo-Omba, has announced his resignation.
In a statement dated March 29, 2026, he indicated that his decision to step down is to allow him to focus on personal pursuits after decades of service in international football.
He noted that after more than 30 years of professional experience dedicated to promoting football as a unifying force—one that educates and inspires hope—he believes it is time to move on and dedicate his attention to personal projects.
