According to reports, Tettey was watching Ghana’s World Cup fixture with friends in Kumasi when she collapsed during celebrations following the Black Stars’ late winning goal.
She was rushed for emergency medical treatment, where healthcare professionals reportedly performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for approximately 45 minutes at KNUST Hospital in an effort to save her life. Despite their efforts, she could not be revived.
