The National Democratic Congress (NDC) had just concluded its presidential primaries, and former President John Dramani Mahama was the lucky candidate who picked the first slot on the ballot. This was announced by the Chairman of the NDC Vetting Committee, Edward Doe Adjaho, after the successful vetting of the three candidates who had contested.

Following Mahama on the ballot, the former Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu, picked the second slot. Meanwhile, the former Finance Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, picked the third slot.

The balloting process was conducted in a transparent and fair manner, reflecting the democratic values of the party. It was a significant step in the selection of the NDC’s presidential candidate for the upcoming elections.

Many party faithful were eagerly anticipating the primaries, and the outcome was met with both enthusiasm and apprehension. However, with the successful vetting and transparent balloting process, it was hoped that the party would unite and work together to achieve its goals in the forthcoming elections.

The NDC has a rich history in Ghanaian politics, and the presidential primaries were a crucial moment in the party’s future. With the candidates now selected, the party could begin to focus on the task ahead, which was winning the hearts and minds of the Ghanaian people in the upcoming elections.
