Ghana’s Youngest Chartered Accountant Emerges as Princess Korkor Boateng Makes Waves Princess Korkor Boateng, an exceptional 18-year-old, has captured the nation’s attention by becoming Ghana’s youngest chartered accountant.
Boateng’s journey began when she gained admission to the prestigious University of Ghana at the remarkably young age of 14, immediately after completing her education at Akosombo International School. Alongside her business administration studies, she embarked on an accounting program at the university.
Just a week ago, Boateng, now a level 400 student at the University of Ghana, accomplished the impressive feat of qualifying as a chartered accountant. With her sights set on working for a prominent international auditing firm, she shared her thoughts in an interview with Joy Prime on Wednesday (10 May). Boateng emphasized the immense discipline required to achieve her chartered accountant status and expressed her belief that while it may be challenging, someone else may eventually surpass her record.
In the coming years, Boateng envisions a career focused on her professional growth as she aspires to join a global firm, particularly in auditing. She plans to pursue further academic endeavors to enhance her skills. Born in Nsawam, in Ghana’s Eastern Region, Princess Korkor Boateng is the eldest of three siblings. She enjoys watching movies in her free time, including playing basketball and immersing herself in the captivating world of fiction books.
Her father, a pastor affiliated with the Assemblies of God, hails from Nsawam, while her mother, an accountant at Starr Ghana Foundation, originates from Bawku.
